Advertising Campaign

Uncle Charlie’s is a popcorn company that invites tastebuds on a journey through the native flavours of Australia. The designer’s approach aimed to honour the deep cultural connection First Nations Australians have with Country.

Using popcorn as a metaphor for Country, the design explores themes of sharing, storytelling, and tradition. Just as popcorn is often shared in communal settings, Country is a source of connection, knowledge, and practice.

The visual identity features rich colour palettes and hand-drawn illustrations that reflect the vibrant Australian landscape. Symbolic animals and land formations significant to First Nations People were incorporated to represent the diversity and complexity of Australia. The result is a striking set of multimedia graphics that embody Uncle Charlie’s mission—celebrating culture through flavour and design.
